East Peoria has a new varsity girls basketball coach. Paris Gulley will take over at East Peoria as he replaces Adam Binger. In four seasons, Binger went 28-59 and 3-53 in the Mid-Illini. Gulley played division one basketball at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and averaged 14 points per game his senior year. For the past three years, Michael has been the head coach for the boys soccer team. Now, he is making the switch to coach girls basketball. Michael played college basketball at Eureka college. In his senior season, he was named the 2010 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year where he averaged 21.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Ca

After winning the state title, Coach Kim Barth has stepped down to focus on family. In 10 season as the coach of Washington, Barth had a record of 247-63, winning six regional championship, two sectional championships, four Mid Illini Conference Championships, and Washington's first ever state championship. The Washington Panthers did it! They won the class 3A State championship! It was a closer game than last time because Glenwood had their best player on the floor this time. Alexis Neumann had a good game for Glenwood. At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Panthers were up by just four points. Then, Avery Tibbs happened. She scored 13 points in the fourth quarter. She ended up with 24 points on 81.8% shooting from the field. The Panthers were victorious 60-45. They won the state

Everyone knows Bri Harms can score at will. Now, she’s at the top of the list at Roanoke-Benson. In the 61-47 win against Dwight, Bri Harms was 18 points away from the record, she scored 34.
