The Washington Lady Panthers are having another great year. I talked to Washington Senior Trista Bass on how this team plays really well together. We also talked about her future in college.
The Washington Lady Panthers have a talented group of sophomores in Avery Tibbs, Becca McDougall, and Mazzy O'Brien. Trista mentions that they help this team out a lot. “The fact that we have sophomores that step up and work hard everyday at practice and in games. Along with the fact that we have depth on our bench. Our sophomores are becoming leaders and it’s a cool thing as a senior to watch them grow.”
The Panthers also have a couple of seniors on the team. Trista Bass saw her senior year change drastically when she suffered a knee injury earlier in the year. “It's hard to not be able to go in and help my teammates when they need it. Just being able to watch and not help out isn’t what I wanted to happen.”
Trista Bass is committed to Loras College. I talked to her about what stood out about Loras College when it came time to commit. “The coaching staff and how I connected with the girls the first day I walked in there. Also being able to go to school with my brother one last time.” Her brother Tyler who is a junior plays for Loras College. He also went to Washington High School.
The Washington Lady Panthers just secured win number 20 on the year and hope to keep the momentum going as postseason is right around the corner.
