I talked to Tremont’s Avery Jost at Boo Camp. Here is what we talked about.

How was your experience at Boo camp?“I had a really good experience at Boo camp! I had a lot of fun teaching my girls new skills and hope I was a good role model for them.”

What are you looking forward to during the high school basketball season?

“Im looking forward to being back on the court with my high school team and just having fun! I also am excited to play with my sister during her senior year.”

Are there any goals your team has coming into the season? “Our goal is to be HOI conference champions.”

In speaking of your sister I know she went through a cancer diagnosis. Tell me how inspiring it is for her to fight through this disease?

“It was extremely inspiring watching her never give up. No matter how she felt, the basketball court made everything better. Watching her play the sport, she loves during treatment really gave us all hope. She rarely missed a game or even practice. During her treatment, she always was positive. Even when she didn’t get to play, she made sure she was the loudest fan in the gym.”

Avery is looking for a great year at Tremont as the Turks look to be HOI conference champions.
