PND Lady Irish have a historic day at state

PND started off with a strong start as they had a 14-5 lead headed to the first media timeout. PND's defense was in full force as they forced a lot of turnovers in the 1st quarter. At the end of the 1st quarter PND had a 16-5 lead.
In the 2nd quarter, PND kept their pace up. They outscored Regina Dominican 17-4 to lead 33-9.
In the third quarter the Lady Irish kept drilling it from three. Lexi Baer was feeling it as she kept her stellar shooting performance up in the 3rd. It was all Irish as they extended their lead in the 3rd quarter to 54-18.
Peoria Notre Dame broke the class 2A record for most threes in a state tournament game. The previous record was 8 three pointers. Peoria Notre Dame has 12. The all class record is 12 three pointers. Lexi Baer tied the Class 2A state record with 6 three pointers. She ended up with 18 points.
