Peoria Notre Dame's non conference schedule is as good as it gets. Here's an in depth look at the schedule.
PND at Washington Tournament of champions
This game will be a piece of history. One of the greatest tournaments in Central Illinois is getting a girls basketball game that contains the two best teams in Central Illinois. This game will be fun to watch because all of Central Illinois will be wanting to watch this game. Washington won the Mid Illini Conference last year and had a record of 23-7 on the season. With a bunch of player from both teams having college offers I will go out on a limb and say there will be college coaches watching this game.
PND vs Incarnate Word Academy
Incarnate Word Academy currently holds a 131 game winning streak, the longest winning streak in the state of Missouri. They are 7 wins away from tying the national record. In order to get to that mark they have to beat Peoria Notre Dame who they play their second game against. The winning streak is very impressive and they have also won four straight state titles. Players who play at Incarnate Word go play high level basketball in college and even the pro's. The most notable alum is Napheesa Collier who won state championships in 2013,14, and 15 for Incarnate Word Academy. She has won two gold medals for the United State Olympic Team and plays for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. Also happy to hear Incarnate Word Academy Coach Dan Rolfes is back coaching after he suffered a heart attack before the state championship game last season. PND has a chance to make national news headlines if they win this game.
PND at Alton
Alton is a team that's always had a good team. This class 4A team beat PND last year not once but twice in two separate tournaments. In the first game Alton won 55-42. In the second game, Alton won 61-55. Alton had a successful season last year as they went 32-3 on the season and winning their conference going 12-0. They say third times a charm so hopefully PND can win this time.
