Peoria High Peoria Notre Dame

The number one team in 2A Peoria Notre Dame, face the number two team in 3A Peoria High. Low scoring 1st quarter as at the end of the quarter the Lions led 8-6.

Lexi Baer hit back to back three pointers to take a 14-13 lead with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Mya Wardle then hit a jumper at the 4 minute mark to make it a three point lead.

To start the 2nd half, Ruffin hit a three pointer to take the lead. The Irish went on a 11-0 run in the 3rd quarter to make it a 32-22 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. The 2nd half was all Irish as they kept expanding their lead. The 2nd half looked a lot like the Peoria Notre Dame Irish that we have all seen before.

4th quarter started with a Lexi Baer layup for the Irish. Then it was just all PND as it got up to 40-24 on a 19-2 run for PND. Lexi Baer drilled a three at the 4 minute mark to make it a 17 point lead for the Irish.

PND ended up winning 50-28. Lexi Baer finished the game with 14 points.

PND now will go from playing the number two team in 3A, to playing the number one team in 3A, the Lincoln Railsplitters.
