I talked to Kayla Herron from Culver Indiana about Boo camp, her upcoming season, and her recruiting process.

Kayla came to Peoria for Curley Boo Johnson Skills for life camp. Here’s what she had to say about her experience during the week.

“It was a great experience helping the younger girls and being able to pour into their crafts. I wanted to create a positive environment where the girls could learn from each other as well as from my experience as a player.”

Kayla is looking for a big high school season. Here is what she has to say about playing at Culver.

“This year I'm looking forward to continuing to grow as a player and develop my skill set. It’s something special about playing at school. The energy from the fans and the relationships that you build with teammates are priceless.”

Kayla has offers from Bradley and a couple other colleges. Here’s what she has to say about her recruiting.

“This summer has been a blessing. I have been having calls with coaches since last summer. It was a great feeling to start receiving offers and serious interest. I’m pretty new to the recruiting process however my parents, coaches, and trainers have prepared me. It’s really motivating to talk to college coaches and hear your strengths and areas of improvement.”

Kayla is ready for another season at Culver Academy and is looking like a big time prospect.
