Illini Bluffs vs Altamont

A back and forth game that went down to the wire. Both teams have an all state player that contributed in a big way. Altamont's Grace Nelson (ISU Commit) had 27 points. Illini Bluffs Lily Luczkowiak had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

This game was close all game long. With 4 minutes left in regulation Altamont had a 4 point lead at 41-39. At the 2:30 minute mark Luczkowiak scored on a fast break to cut the deficit to 2. Eeten made the go ahead basket with 55 seconds to give the tigers a one point lead. The Tigers took a timeout with 10.4 seconds left in a tie game. They couldn't convert on an open three pointer and they head to overtime. Luczkowiak scored a layup to start overtime and the Tigers took a 48-46 lead. Eeten made a huge three to take a 51-46 lead. Nelson came right back with a bucket to cut the tigers lead to three. Altamont started to try and extend this game and fouled Illini Bluffs with 1:09 left in OT. Illini Bluffs converted both free throws to extend the lead to 55-48.


Illini Bluffs had an impressive OT. They scored on all 7 possessions in OT. They outscored Altamont in OT 14-2 to win it 60-48. Illini Bluffs all stater Lily Luczkowiak had an amazing game, she finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists.


Illini Bluffs will play the winner of St. Bede vs Okawville for the state title on Saturday.
