5 3A 11th State Dunlap Canton
Dunlap scored one in the first on a sac fly by Ferrari. In the second, Dunlap scored three by a fielder's choice and then a 2 RBI single by Newton to lead 4-0. Canton had an opportunity to get some runs back in the bottom of the 2nd with the bases loaded 2 outs Munson was up to bat. Jack Piper struck him out and collected his 6th strikeout in just the 2nd inning. In the 3rd inning Tressenriter hit an RBI single to make it 5-0. Dunlap opened the door and won 9-0. Jack Piper lost his no hitter in the 7th inning with Munson hitting a single. Jack Piper threw a complete game shutout allowing just one hit, walking four, and striking out 13.
15 3A Morton Limestone
Morton set the tone early, scoring two runs in the first. The Potters scored another run in the third inning on a wild pitch. In the 5th inning, Pippin doubled to left field that brought in two runs and Morton had a 5-0 lead. Freshman Hudson Lovell hit an RBI single to make it 6-0 Potters that was ultimately the final score. Schaffnitt threw a complete game shutout allowing six hits, zero walks, and struck out ten.
Pekin Metamora
Metamora won this game scoring four runs in the 6th inning to win 5-3. Metamora’s Graf went 2-3 with three RBI’s in the win.
7 3A East Peoria 12 3A Washington
Runs were scored early but the first hit of the game didn’t come until the 3rd inning. At the end of the first, Washington was up 3-1. In the top of the 3rd, Duncheon drove in two with a triple to tie the game at 3. Owen Hidden singled into center for East Peoria to take a 4-3 lead. Owen Hidden then singled in the 4th inning to extend the Raiders lead to 6-3. In the bottom of the 4th, the Panthers responded scoring 2 runs to make it a 6-5 East Peoria lead. RBI singles by Lawrence and Humphrey. East Peoria rallied in the 7th inning scoring six runs all with no outs. Duncheon went 2-4 with 2RBI’s. East Peoria won 12-8.
Brimfield Farmington
Landon Binder got the party started with a three run home run in the first inning for Brimfield. Brimfield rolled on and won 15-5. Schatsiek went 4-5 and was a triple away from the cycle. Landon Binder went 2-3 with 3 RBI’s.
