High School Baseball Rundown April 17th, 2024

10th State 5th 3A East Peoria 18th State 

Dunlap won a close one thanks to a couple of solo home runs. Freshman Eli Michanicou homered to left field in the 2nd inning to get the Eagles a 1-0 lead In the bottom of the 3rd, Davis Weeks doubled to left to drive in two. In the bottom of the 4th, Gabe Munoz led off with a solo home run to make it a 4-2 game. Dunlap won 4-3. Jaxson Tresenriter went 3-3 at the plate. He started on the mound going 4 innings giving up two hits, two unearned runs, two walks, and five strikeouts. Dunlap is now 15-2 on the season and 5-0 in conference play. 


Limestone Washington 

Washington battled in this one, scoring three runs in the 6th inning to win 7-5. Washington’s lead off batter Johnson went 3-3 with two RBI’s. The Panthers are now 5-1 in conference play. 



PCS Peoria Heights

In the Annual Dozer Park game between PCS and Peoria Heights we saw a dominating performance on the mound by Peoria Christian’s Gavin Walder. He threw a complete game giving up three hits, one unearned run, zero walks, and 13 strikeouts. He was also a big help at the plate going 3-3. Peoria Christian won 4-1. 


PND Richwoods

Lawson Alwan was a big help for the Irish going 3-3 with two RBI’s. Mickels was on the mound for the Irish He went 5.1 innings giving up just three hits, one run, two walks, and six strikeouts. Peoria Notre Dame is now 10-3 on the season.


Morton Pekin

Morton Potters freshman Hudson Lovell contributed in a big way. He went 2-3 with five RBI’s. Both of his hits were home runs. Spangler was on the mound for the Potters. He went 5 innings allowing two hits, two runs, one walk, and six strikeouts. Morton is now 10-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
