East Peoria Infielder Jackson Ahrens Commits to Northern Illinois

East Peoria infielder Jackson Ahrens has been on fire this season. As of today, Jackson has a batting average of .593 collecting 35 hits with 11 doubles, five triples, seven homers and 23 RBIs. Originally committed to Kirkwood Community College, the senior got a lot of traction around the nation when he hit for the cycle in back to back games. A cycle is when a hitter hits a home run, triple, double, and a single in the same game. Last week he decommitted from Kirkwood and has announce he will be playing division one baseball at Northern Illinois University.
