The PSML witnessed another no-hitter! This one was by MoveSmart Mariners Alec Williams. This is the 3rd no-hitter of the season in the PSML. I talked to Alec after the game.

Williams was dominant on the mound today. “I felt very in control,” he says. “I was locating everything really well and knew I had a good defense behind me.”

Williams has been really good on the mound all summer. He’s thrown 14 innings with an ERA of 1.00, and has had excellent command with just two walks and 16 strikeouts so far this season. “I did everything I usually do and felt really comfortable today on the mound,” he told me.

PSML has several great pitchers this season. I asked him if knowing the other team could have their ace on the mound helps him be careful and not make mistakes. “Yeah knowing that there are other good pitchers makes me set my own ceiling higher for myself to succeed.”

Alec went 7 innings allowing zero hits, one walk, and seven strikeouts. He only needed 81 pitches for the complete game no hitter which is really impressive. This is the third no-hitter in the PSML this season. The last one a week ago today by Preton Rowe of the Kohl’s Diamond Gallery Royals.
